Mommy, did you know that babies may not only get allergy reactions from food intake?
There are other allergens in the environment that may trigger an allergy reaction from your baby too. Some common triggers of environmental allergies include:
- Insect stings
Symptoms of an allergic reaction usually develop within a few minutes or sometimes over a few hours after your baby is being exposed to the allergen. Watch out for these allergy symptoms:
- red and itchy eyes
- coughing, wheezing, and chest tightness
- runny nose
- itchy bumps
If your baby suffers from any of the above symptoms or you suspect your baby may be allergic to something, bring him/her to see your medical doctor, paediatrician or an allergy specialist immediately.
For parents who have a history of allergy, please be extra careful when sourcing products for your newborn. Make sure the products you choose for your baby is ...
- made from 100% pure cotton
- no additives or chemicals added
- soft and gentle on skin
